wedding photography

i just wanted to note for anyone following my blog that i am completely booked through 2009 for weddings. i am also due to have a new baby in october! so i will be taking a few months off to focus on the baby and my family alone.

i have also always told people that 6 months before a wedding is a safe timeline to be booking your wedding photography. however, recently i have found that a year in advance is NOT too early. as of now my june 2010 is FULL! i am humbled and grateful to my clients who like my work. please note that i will be changing my entire wedding pricing structure for 2010. i have not set pricing yet, but should have it up this fall. if you choose to book now for 2010 i will honor either 2009 or 2010 pricing as long as you send your deposit before 2010. as always dates are not guaranteed without a deposit and all deposits are non-refundable. if you are considering a wedding in 2010 now is not too soon to chat about your wedding photography!

a lovely evening to photograph

i photographed this fun couple the other evening. the weather was nice (other than the mosquitos eating me alive) and i really like how these turned out. i will be photographing their wedding this coming august and can't wait as they are easy to photograph and like to have fun...the best combination in a wedding shoot!

spring has sprung!

now is the time to get that family portrait done! the grass is green, temps are pleasant and it's before the summer gets really busy. schedule your family portrait today! weekend availability is getting slim due to weddings, but i can always schedule in the evenings after dinner and work. here is a cute family i photographed the other day. the weather was a bit windy and cool, but the kids were troopers and i was quite happy with the results. 

my new toy

i'm so excited about my new camera bag that totally doesn't look like a camera bag! i doesn't hurt that it's pretty too! i needed something to use at weddings that wasn't huge and knocking people over whenever i turned around and still appealed to my need to look stylish! this fits 2-3 lenses and accessories in it, close and easily accessible. i still use a larger rolling suitcase for everything else, but i do so much moving around that this is perfect. wedding season here i come!

This is a recent flyer completed for the ADVOCACY AND RESOURCE CENTER in Sheridan, Wyoming. A great organization that serves to help victims of violent crimes. www.arcsheridan.org.

this was such a fun project to be a part of! i'm so excited to have had my hand in this. cd are available around town from this beautiful christian singer, if anyone is interested in obtaining one, please email me and i will let you know where you can buy one. i would love to do more of these projects if anyone knows of a local recording artist putting out a new cd, give me a call!

a salute to our local military

the results of one of my military special sessions lately. i had quite a few takers on this special and i was happy i could contribute in some way by providing a family portrait for these families who will not be together for a year or more. this cute couple was such fun to photograph. this is the second time for him to be deployed and they are newly married. this saturday the 18th is a community going away ceremony for the local troops. i encourage you all to attend! regardless of your stance on the war, it is important that they know they have the support of their community. the ceremony starts at 10am at the sheridan college golden dome. no tickets required.

 
 

honoring our military families

as you may or may not know, many wyoming national guard soliders are set to be deployed this april, many for the second or third time in recent years. it is a tough time for these families and my thoughts and prayers go out to them. i am offering a special for deploying families to get a family photo done before deployment. this is a shortened session, 20-30 minutes at an outdoor location. the cost is $25 and you will get 2-5x7 prints or 1-5x7 and 8-wallets delivered to you before the april 18th deployment date. if you'd like to get on my calender please contact me as soon as possible. thank you for your service to our country and your sacrifices.
